Harvard Negotiation Alumni Society (HNAS) is a Harvard-wide shared interest organization that is dedicated to serving and impacting Harvard alumni globally who are in involved in or interested in the field of negotiation. It is the only Harvard Alumni SIG focused on negotiation with Harvard Alumni Association approval.
To develop a professional and personal worldwide network for Harvard alumni and other members of the Harvard community such as students, faculty, staff, and research fellows, etc.) who are interested in the field/topic of negotiation and conflict resolution. HNAS also has a mission to expand and provide cutting-edge thought leadership on negotiation to members of the Harvard community and beyond.
HNAS designs and organizes world-class large-scale conferences and events centered on negotiation. Its flagship event is the Negotiation & Leadership Conference, hosted and organized by HNAS, which is a four-day power-packed conference that provides attendees with ground-breaking strategies to sharpen their negotiation and global business skills. The conference brings together an impressive array of academics and professionals (including business, community and government leaders from around the world) as well as alumni and students from Harvard and beyond. The event is a collaborative effort by alumni, faculty and students from various Harvard schools. It is the most anticipated conference on negotiation at Harvard.
HNAS organizes a variety of cutting edge programming on the topic of negotiation. HNAS curates first-class conferences, seminars, workshops, boot-camps, case studies, role plays, podcasts and one-on-one interviews on negotiation, conflict resolution, and leadership topics.
HNAS provides access to best-in-class training opportunities in the field of negotiation that helps members and participants become proficient in topics that are fundamental to the development of leading-edge negotiation skills, and acquire the skills needed to lead in this new era of uncertainty and complexity.
HNAS provides access to cutting-edge content where members are inspired, enlightened, motivated and trained by top-notch experts and world-renowned speakers, equipping participants with proven ideas and keys to negotiation success.
HNAS also creates or administers public service programs and opportunities for members that focuses on educational training for urban youth as well as for minorities and other non-profit organizations. Through our special urban youth outreach conference initiative, we offer a special opportunity to sponsor high-school students to attend our events and conferences. This initiative is geared towards exposing urban youth not only to the Harvard academic environment so that they can aspire to achieve a great education for themselves but to also expose them to the same tools and techniques that academia and corporate America is using in negotiations and conflict resolution.
Any Harvard alumnus or affiliate can sign up to receive notifications and invitations to events. Membership in this organization is open to all Harvard alumni, regardless of sex, creed, sexual preference, religion, national origin. HNAS members span the globe, from diverse geographic and cultural backgrounds.
